Yoga in the Wilderness 
w/ Wild South Alabama
Sept. 13th, 2014
As part of Wild South’s Wilderness 50 celebration, Birmingham yoga instructor, Kimberly Drye, will lead a morning and an afternoon session of yoga in the Bankhead National Forest in northwest Alabama on September 13. 
Specific location for each session in the Bankhead NF will be chosen later in consideration of number of sign-ups and weather.
Advance sign-up is required:  SIGN UP by emailing janice@wildsouth.org.  Please specify morning or afternoon and include your phone number. Each session will be suitable for all levels of yogic ability and all ages are welcome.
The hike in to the location will be 1/2 mile maximum.
Meet-up times:  8:30 a.m. for morning session, 1:00 for afternoon session.
Bring:
Backpack with drinking water and snack
Yoga mat
Sheet (twin size flat is good size) or large beach towel for under mat
For each session:
Meet a the Warrior Mountains Trading Company a few minutes before meet-up time.  Park on the south end of the building and come into the store.  We will gather promptly at the meet-up time (8:30 for morning, 1:00 for afternoon) at the Wild South picnic table toward the back of the store.
This event is free of charge, but we gratefully accept donations!  In fact, donations are what make these events possible.  There will be a donation bucket on the picnic table.  Thank you!
Yoga on the Mountain 
w/ Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy (SAHC)- North Carolina
October 18th, 2014 2pm


Difficulty: Moderate (5-6)
Leaders: Kim Drye from HereNowYoga and co-leader Michelle Pugliese, SAHC’s Land protection Director.
Cost: Free for SAHC members $10 for non-members
What to bring: Sturdy shoes, blanket, yoga mat, comfortable clothes, water, sunscreen and a pack to carry all personal items.

We will hike to the top of Blue Ridge Pastures, lay down yoga mats, and practice our sun salutations among many other poses. Once at the top of Blue Ridge Pastures we will see Bearwallow Mountain and Hickory Nut Gap Gorge, hikers and yogis alike will experience true beauty of the surrounding area and learn why conservation is so important in the Fairview Farming Community.

Restorative Yoga + Hot Stones
with Kim Drye, HereNowYoga
Saturday Oct. 11th, 2014 2-4pm 
at Birmingham Yoga



Melt away physical tension and energetic knots with deeply restorative yoga poses, aromatherapy, and soft music. Hot stones will be placed on you during poses to aid in the release of constrictions and provide a warm, relaxing sensation.
$25 early registration until Oct. 4th, $30 after.
