Come soul searching with me in the Andes

Come soul searching with me in the Andes January 11-19th, 2014.  I couldn't be more thrilled to be leading this international retreat with Amazon Andes Sky.  Check out the deets, including cost and itinerary from the AAS website: HERE NOW.  It will most certainly be an adventure we won't forget-- with zip-lining, horseback riding, active volcanoes, the tropical cloud forest, chocolate tastings, and daily yoga to remind ourselves to take some deep breathes and soak it all up.

Please contact me if you are interested or would like more information.

treeposefaceFor Kim, leading yoga and adventure trips is a dream come true. She hopes all her students learn, most of all, to let yoga practice move off of their mats and spill into their everyday lives–combining yoga and travel makes perfect sense!
We all know that vacations can be surprisingly stressful and quick. Kim hopes that she can help you relax into your adventure and guide you to embrace and live each moment fully. On a retreat with Kim, there will be a consistent emphasis on “finding your center” by taking the time to look inside yourself, find your breath, stay focused, and seek calm. She will also make sure the daily asana practice prepares you for the many other adventures on your trip by keeping you strong and flexible.
Kim is a 500-hour certified yoga instructor in the Asheville, NC area and leads her own series of experiential classes including Yoga on the Mountain and Yoga at Sola Salt Cave. Her journey to expand as a student and teacher has taken her through such varied and interesting  workshops as yoga for back care, yoga for multiple sclerosis, the physiology of relaxation and sleep, the physiology of inversions, yoga for sacral imbalances, yoga for scoliosis, yoga for the asymmetric body, the art of sequencing, the history of yoga, pranayama, meditation techniques,  yoga for seniors, chair yoga, yoga sutras and philosophy, the energetics of yoga (chakras,  bandhas, koshas), and cranial-sacral rhythm in yoga (somatic release through asana).
Bringing with her this vast and varied foundation of knowledge, she is very much excited and looking forward to leading this Finding Your  Center Retreat in Ecuador, September 2013.  So…roll up that yoga mat, stick it in your backpack and join Kim on this epic adventure toward your center!
